Note: The town was called Soli or Soloi. It was destroyed by Tigranes of Armenia early in the 1st century BCE, and refounded by Pompeius Magnus in 66 BCE as Pompeiopolis. So it is often named as Soli-Pompeiopolis or Soloi-Pompeiopolis. |
