Adriano e la Dacia

Buonasera,
le invio in allegato alcune foto del sesterzio di Adriano del tipo Dacia. Il peso è di 26,6 grammi ed il diametro è di 33 34 millimetri. Non attratta da calamita. Appare lavorata ma, ovviamente ho il dubbio sulla sua genuinità o meno. Vorrei cortesemente la sua autorevole opinione. Grazie.
La monetà è uniformemente scura e non color oro. E' una patina color cuoio... a mio avviso!

Descrizione sommaria:
D. HADRIANVS AVG COS III P P3. Adriano, busto laureato e paludato a destra.
R. DACIA in esergo. S C a sinistra e a destra nel campo. La Dacia, vestita di tunica e mantello, seduta a sinistra su una roccia, sorregge con la mano destra un vessillo e con la sinistra una corta spada ricurva4.

Concludo osservando che, per quanto le caratteristiche fisiche della moneta non si discostino da quelle dei campioni autentici d'epoca, l'aspetto generale lascia a desiderare per l'assenza di patina. Per quanto consentito ad un esame a distanza, sono portato a ritenere che la moneta sia un calco, come sembra indicare il grosso buco sulla guancia dell'imperatore e l'aspetto poco marcato del rovescio.

Secondo BMC, il sesterzio di Adriano pesava 25,78 g. (media calcolata su 458 esemplari). Avuto riguardo di ciò e visti anche i dati tabulati, mi pare si possa concludere che le caratteristiche fisiche del sesterzio di figura, così come comunicate dal lettore (26,6g, 33-34 mm, 7h), rientrino nella variabilità del periodo.
(2) La moneta è priva della potestà tribunizia che ne consentirebbe la precisa datazione. Adriano ebbe il riconoscimento del titolo Pater Patriae nel 128 che conservò sino alla morte nel 138. E' questo dunque l'arco temporale nel quale si ascrive la moneta, anche se alcuni, come il RIC, delimitano un periodo più breve (134-138) essendo il 134 l'anno del rientro di Adriano a Roma al termine del suo ultimo grande viaggio.

(4) DACIA. La natura dell'oggetto trattenuto dalla Dacia con la mano sinistra è variamente descritto come spada ricurva o come falce. Il Cohen 528 parla di "faucille", la falce. Il RIC distingue due tipi diversi, uno con la falce (RIC 829), uno con la spada (RIC 849) ma solo quest'ultimo è un sesterzio. BMC descrive un sesterzio con la Dacia che stringe una spada.
