Concludo osservando che, per quanto consentito da un esame a distanza, le caratteristiche fisiche, l'aspetto generale e lo stile della moneta non si discostano da quelli degli esemplari autentici d'epoca. Nello stato in cui si trova, il valore venale della moneta potrebbe aggirarsi sui 30,00€.

Le caratteristiche fisiche del sesterzio di figura comunicate dal lettore (25g, 30mm) non si discostano da quelle dei conî d'epoca.
(2) Per la datazione, si è assunto l'intervallo temporale tra il conferimento del 4° consolato (COS IIII - 145 d. C.) e la morte di Antonino (161 d. C.).

(4) FELICITAS AVGusti. La Felicitas è qui rappresentata con i suoi attributi, il caduceo (il magico bastone che Mercurio aveva ricevuto in dono da Apollo per avergli restituito la lira e il capricorno (segno zodiacale del primo Augusto, predecessore di Antonino). La moneta esprime in qualche modo l'auspicio che la "Felicitas" di Antonino possa essere anche più grande di quella del suo grande predecessore. Maurus Servius Honoratus, nei suoi Commentarii sull'Eneide di Virgilio riferisce che "Felix enim dicitur et qui habet felicitatem et qui facit esse felicem" [si dice felice colui che possiede la felicità e che la trasmette] e dunque Antonino Pio si dichiara in possesso di entrambi gli attributi della felicità ritenuti essenziali per assicurare il benessere dei governati.
