The number following the prefix is the find number in the appropriate report.

  • D193: Goodnestone, Kent. Closing date c. 316 A.D. 10 base-silver nummi. Roman road-side settlement.

  • B307: Prestwood B, Buckinghamshire, Closing date 317 A.D., 735 base-silver nummi, fragment of pot. Although found in the same place as the Prestwood A hoard, they are separated by 100 years and are likely to be separate hoards.

  • B308: Tayton, Gloucestershire, -is included in C20.

  • C20: Tayton, Gloucestershire. Closing date c. 317 A.D., total now 148 base-silver nummi. Other artefacts also found.

  • B309: Chaddesley Corbett, Worcestershire, Closing date c. 317 A.D., 419 base-silver coins, majority London or Trier.

  • C256 Langtoft 'B', East Yorkshire. Closing date c. 324 A.D., 924 base-silver nummi of the Constantinian period, pot sherds found. Found a few metres from the 'A' hoard (see Table 2).

  • C257: Carleton St Peter, Norfolk. Closing date c. 333 A.D., 128 base-silver nummi of the Constantinian period. Sherds of a container found.

  • C258: Shiptonthorpe, East Yorkshire. Closing date c. 340 A.D., 503 base-silver coins. Parts of a container were found.

  • D195: Grassmoor, Derbyshire. Closing date c. 340 A.D., 1 base-silver radiate, 1,420 Constantinian base-silver nummi.

  • B310: Hockwold, Norfolk, -is included in C259.

  • C259: Hockwold, Norfolk. Closing date c. 350 A.D., Total 816 copper-alloy coins.

  • B311: Welbourn, Lincolnshire, Closing date 354 A.D., 436 base-silver nummi, pottery container.

  • A131: Haxby, North Yorkshire, Closing date c. 356 A.D., 67 billon nummi. This hoard was found at the same place as two hoards were found in 1993 (one hoard of 508 coins, deposited c. 348, the other of 330 coins, deposited c. 355 A.D.).

  • C260: Found Healaugh, North Yorkshire. Closing date c. 350-364 A.D., 176 base-silver and copper-alloy coins.

  • D197: Cymyran, Isle of Anglesey, Wales. Closing date after 367 A.D., 10 base-silver radiate and nummi.

  • A132: Little Smeaton, North Yorkshire, Closing date c. 367 A.D., 1 gold solidus, 8 silver miliarenses, 175 silver siliquae.

  • D196: West Bagborough, Somerset. Closing date c. 367 A.D., 2 denarii, 8 miliarenses, 659 siliquae. All coins are silver and the hoard included 722 grams of cut silver.

  • D198: Wood Norton, Norfolk. Closing date c. 392 A.D., Two gold solidi.

  • B26: Bowerchalke, Wiltshire, Closing date c. 395 A.D., 1 silver miliarensis, 18 silver siliquae, 2 gold rings.

  • D199: Colkirk, Norfolk. Closing date c. 395 A.D., 2 silver siliquae. [Not included in Tables]

  • C261: Corscombe, Dorset. Closing date fourth century A.D., 31 copper-alloy and base silver coins. [Not included in Tables, because of the lack of details about these coins, given as "mostly fourth century".]

  • A137: Haynes, Bedfordshire, Closing date c. 408 A.D., 8 silver miliarenses, 440 silver siliquae, 1 bronze nummus, gold and silver artefacts. Pottery fragments.

  • A138: Good Easter, Essex, -is included in D203.

  • D203: Good Easter, Essex. Closing date c. 408 A.D., Total 15 gold Solidi.

  • A139: Hoxne, Suffolk, see C269.

  • C269: Hoxne, Suffolk. Closing date c. 408 A.D., These coins are an additional 9 siliquae to the great Hoxne hoard. The total coin hoard (as well as the magnificent silver and gold artefacts) was 565 gold coins, 14,141 silver coins and 24 bronze coins. Coins were originally in separate boxes inside a strong-box.
