Moushmov 770, Paris 1097 I don't understand this but Wildwinds shows two coins with these exact attributions but with different obverse and reverse legends. Typically different legends would necessitate different attributions.
NGC Ch XF Strike: 5/5 Surface: 3/5, lt. smoothing
This coin was purchased from eBay at the same time the seller also had this coin listed on his Vcoins website. The surface score of 3/5 is a result of this coin having light smoothing which is a condition that was not been stated in either the seller's two listings. I have found that failure to mention surface smoothing is typical and is something practiced by largest of auction houses down to the smallest of dealers.

The holy stones (baetyls) were meteorites. Especially in Semitic religions they were worshipped as deities. The most famous was the stone of Emesa, worshipped as the sol god Elagabal, and the Kaaba in Mecca, a pre-islamic sanctuary.

This type is now assigned to Ptolemaios V Epiphanes and dated to about 204-201 BC (W. Weiser, Katalog Ptolemäischer Bronzemünzen der Sammlung ... Universität Köln, S. 70, Nr.111). Thanks to Arminius!

The famous Aphrodite Paphias was aniconical, probably a baetyl. So we have here another, probably Hellenistic, cult statue.

Seleucia Pieria was the port of Antioch. Her main sanctuary was Zeus Kasios (the god who is on Mount Kasios, near the city), worshiped as a conical sacred stone - exactly like Elagabal in Emesa.

OMPHALOS, umbilicus, hump. Ovoid resp. beehive shaped stone mark of uncertain meaning. The best-known exemplar, the Delphic Omphalos, today no more is regarded as meteoric object of the aniconic stone cult (Baetyl) but as prehellenic sacrifice mark of the earth-goddess as synthesis of Tymbos (= doomed tomb) and altar (for chthonic blood pouring).

Kaunos_-_Baetyl_sanctuary.jpg
Turkey, Kaunos: The Baetyl Sanctuary134 viewsThe flat terrace above the agora and harbour of Kaunos has a long history of sacred use. In late antiquity a three-nave Christian church was constructed here. Before that (from the first century BCE) the site was a temple and temenos dedicated to Zeus Soteros. Earlier still (perhaps fifth century BCE) is this unusual round structure, built at an angle to the axis of the later temple.

When first uncovered, the structure’s purpose seemed mysterious. But the mystery was partially solved when archaeologists sank a trench underneath the central flat circular slab and found a large, roughly conical baetyl, 3.5m in height resting on bedrock about 6.5m below the present surface. This sacred stone, associated with the eponymous founder of the city, appears as a design on several of the city’s coins.

Note that the inner ring wall is plastered on its interior surface, suggesting that quantities of water (or other liquids) were involved in whatever rituals were conducted here.
