This coin is an enigma because of several reasons:
(1) The ethnic is missed. Only the names are in the legends. Therefore it is difficult to tell the mint. Referring to the style I think the coin belongs to Northern Greece, i.e. Moesia or Thrace. There are small coins from Nicopolis with Severus and Domna on the rev. with strange abbreviations like IO DO. On the other side the scrubby hairstyle of Geta reminds strongly on Marcianopolis.
(2) The legends on both sides are unclear. IMIOC GETA on the rev. is sure and means naturally CEPTIMIOC GETA. But for the missing CEPT left behind the head seems to be not enough space. May be that CEPT can be found right before Geta's head? Then the legend would be perhaps [T[IMIOC - GETA[C CEP], an unusual legend distribution at all.
(3) The obv. legend is absolutely unclear. Actually we would await Severus, and it is his portrait on the obverse. The legend could begin left behind the bust with AV K (like AV KAI CE or AV KL CE). Then on the right side should appear CEVHROC! But the remaining letters don't match! May be that the CE of CEVHROC can be found too behind the bust and is followed by VHROC in front of the bust. But that too would be a strange legend break.
Gospodin Jekov: This coin seems to be unique, possibly an error-hybrid from Markianopolis.
Igor Lasarenko (Museum of Varna): Rather not Moesia, hybrid from Asia Minor may be. Jochen

ref. a) not in AMNG
b) not in Varbanov (engl.)
c) Hristova/Jekov (2013) No. 6.17.31.1 (plate coin)
The depiction of Kybele on this coin is very different from the usual boring ones we see on small coins from Markianopolis. Here we must have a creative artist. The ostensibly nonchalant attitude I know until now only from depictions of MATER DEVM. I think it is the sign of a kind of safety and carelessness. We can see SECVRITAS often in a similar position. So even small coins - often overlooked by collectors - can cause a nice surprise.
Pat Lawrence: (1) I've been hunting for, what I think I recall, another Cybele relaxing like that on a provincial coin. Though the sense of security is, I think, a perfectly valid interpretation, I think there's more to it.
The iconographic type, seated with the pair of lions, goes back to her 4cBC cult statue. But it is on a stiff throne and is decidedly blocky, as cult statues often are.
The pictorial type shown on this and (if I recall correctly) some other Greek Imperial coins, where she leans back as if in a landscape setting, probably is related to paintings or reliefs that re-interpreted the cult-statue type to make a 'natural' and womanly Cybele.
This is like taking the medieval, originally Byzantine (as in apse mosaics) Mary and treating her and the baby as the Renaissance did, kneeling in the woods (Filippo Lippi) or playing with him, offering him grapes as Hermes did to baby Dionysos (with the meaning adjusted appropriately).
(2) Sometimes at the Rome mint JD is shown slightly relaxed on her cult-image throne, but so long as you have that carpentry back-rest to the throne, you are dealing with the cult image as prototype.
Jochen's new Marcianopolis I am sure DOES have the same "pictorial" prototype and meaning (Cybele in Nature, her element) as the Anchialos coin.Jochen

Attention deserves a particular depiction where the stele standing in front of the god surely is meant as support for the extended r. arm even though the die cutter senselessly has put the end of the legend between ellbow and stele. A similar error as we have found at depictions of Apollo (Lykeios). This Hermes type probably is the depiction of a marble statue where the stele was used as armrest (Pick, p.193)

This type seems to depict a triumphal arch erected in Marcianopolis. For the 4 figures on top will be no other interpretation possible than that suggested by A.v.Sallet (Cat. Berlin 58, 11) of the Imperial family...So we have in te middle Severus and Domna, on the l. side Caracalla and on the r. side a bit smaller Geta. The triumphal arch seems to be erected under Severus but appears not until Caracalla's sole reign, probably at the beginning because Geta is depicted too (Pick).

The garment on the r. side has strange indentations. A correct explanation is difficult. Perhaps it is a wrong understood blanket stitching which we find often at woolen garments on Classical and post-Classical sculptures. (Pat Lawence)

Rare, VF/about EF, the most beautiful specimen known!

The female figure could be the mountain nymph Rhodope (Seguin, Paris 1665) or perhaps Moesia itself (Pat Lawrence). Due to the running discussion on the Forum there is a very strong resemblance to the HISPANIA coins of Hadrian with Hispania reclining l., holding branch, rabbit below. (Curtis Clay)
