Obv: PRO BONO PUBLICO 1831, incuse on raised rim; HALF / PENNY / TOKEN in center

Rev: QUOCUNQUE • IECERIS • STABIT, incuse on raised rim, triskeles in center, knee pointing to the B in STABIT

William Callister (1808-1872) was a timber importer from Ramsey. He later became a Member of the House of Keys, he directly elected lower house of Tynwald, the parliament of the Isle of Man. His grandson was the eminent collector J.D. Clucas, whose collection of Manx coins is now in the Manx Museum.
