BCC LH4
Lead Head
Hollow cast lead figure of a
miniature stylized head, perhaps
wearing a Phrygian? cap or
helmet. Apparently, it could
have been fitted onto a shaft,
or tang. One suggestion has been
a handle for a small ceremonial
Roman dagger.
41.5 x 19 x 11mm. 18.64gm.
Surface find, 1975, Caesarea Maritima
