Italy, Rome, Curia
The place where the Senate held its meetings.
Notice the three different kinds of marble used for the pavement. The beheaded statue should be Trajan's.

The curia was party restored by Mussolini, I wonder how much of the floor mosaic is authentic? The structure itself was preserved as a church until deconsecration in 1935.
