Obv: O AΓIOC ΔHMHTPIOC in two columnar groups; St. Demetrius, beardless and nimbate, seated upon throne without back, wearing tunic, breastplate and sagion; right hand holds hilt of sword; left hand holds sheath, horizontally across knees
Rev: ΘЄOΔШPOC ΔЄC; MP - ΘV in upper and right field; Half-length figure of emperor on left, and of Virgin nimbate; between them patriarchal cross on long shaft, at the base of which, a small globe. Emperor wears stemma, divitision, collar-piece and paneled loros of simplified type; right hand holds scepter cruciger, Manus Dei in upper left field
