Obv: OLIVER WENDELL HOLMES 1809 – 1894, bust of Holmes facing, inclined slightly to the left.
Rev:, The figure of a kneeing woman, above which are the symbols for Mars, Venus, Infinity, and a dagger. On the left is an armless figure of a naked man viewed from behind, on the right is the USS Constitution, for which Holmes wrote the poem “Old Ironsides.” THE HALL OF FAME FOR GREAT AMERICANS AT NEW YORK UNIVERSITY ©1965.
