[b]Rev[/b]: Jupiter Anxurus seated left, patera in out-stretched right and scepter in left hands; IO[VIS AXVR] in left field; C VIBIVS C F C N, vertical in right field.

Struck: 48 BC.

Many of the Roman moneyers minted types that were based on homonyms or word games with their own name. On this type, Pan is a play on his name, Pansa. The temple of Jupiter Anxurus was built by Sulla at Terracina in Latium. The town's ancient Volscian name was Anxur.
