Hermes - Uncertain Dynast of Lycia AR diobol
Uncertain Dynast of Lycia (possibly Tlos or Patara). Circa 450-430 BC. AR Diobol (1.11 gm). Helmeted head of Athena right / Head of Hermes right, wearing winged petasos; caduceus before, diskeles behind. Both Tlos and Patara struck coins with similar designs; this coin though lacks any identifying inscription. Greater similarities with Patara examples than Tlos.
