Roman Empire, Domitian, Dolphin denarius Unpublished
Obv: IMP CAES DOMITIAN AVG PONT
  Domitian laureate, right
Rev: TRP COS VII DES VIII PP
  Dolphin around anchor

Perhaps an example of the chaos that reign at the imperial mint in 81 AD on Domitian's accession, note the unusual tailed V in AVG which may indicate a Greek celator. The Obverse is as RIC 10B, reverse as RIC 14. I haven't seen another dolphin denarius like this one.

I believe I have read some where about a Greek celetor working at the mint under Domitian...but I can't recall where.

It would be nice to know the size and weight of this coin.
