SYRIA: DECAPOLIS. Antiochia ad Hippum. Nero. Æ 18. A.D. 67/68 (year 131). Obv: (NEPΩ)N-KA(IΣAP). Laureate head right, crescent before (not visible); countermark on lower part of bust. Rev: (IΠΠH)NΩ(N), (AΛP) below. Horse standing left. Ref: Spijkerman 2a; RPC 4808 (5 pcs). Axis: 15°. Weight: 6.86 g. CM: Laureate (?) head right, in largely oval punch, 6 x 7.5 mm. Howgego 121 (8 pcs). Note: Howgego suggests that the countermarking was contemporary with the next issue of coins under Titus. None of the coins of Titus (or subsequent emperors) are countermarked.
