BCC LH7
Lead Head
Hollow cast lead figure
of a miniature stylized head.
Inscribed around:
KAΛOK AIPOC
37.5 x 21.5 x 11mm.
10.38gm.
Identical and from the same mold
as BCC LH6. I believe KAΛOKAIPOC
is a personal name, which may(?)
also be translated as "summer" or
"in a good time". Other ideas are
welcome. I have seen three of these,
all from the same mold, all from
Caesarea Maritima.
cf BCC LH6
Surface find, 1974
