Auction Description: Bare head of Octavian facing right; Reverse: "IMP CAESAR" on architrave of the Curia Julia (Roman Senate House) with colonnaded base, surmounted by a statue of Victory on a globe, warriors at angles. Very well centered with nice metal quality. Lovely electric blue toning highlights amongst the hair and the details of the Senate House, which still stands today in the Roman Forum (dedicated in 29 B.C.).
EXTREMELY FINE.
