Aigina, Aegina Silver DRACHM291 viewsTwo different coin replicas of the same vendor sold at the same time on Ebey in 2006 as .999 exact copies for $7.50 and $7.99. The weight is not the same! 4.02 gr. and 4.14 gr. Their rims and flans are also different!!
They both carry the same COUNTERMARK, that resembles a "61" or "Gi", but in Greek style. Probably the initials or mark in Greek of the maker or vendor.
These two STRUCK replicas came from Athens, Greece. All the coins sold by this vendor carry the same COUNTERMARK to indicate it is a replica.
Obv:- Sea turtle with row of dots down the middle of shell.
Rev:- quadripartite incuse square.
