This Toronto Group forgery has beened offered on ebay under at least six different names.

Very soft features due to casting. I hope this would not fool our regular board readers! Note that the shape and edge defects of the many examples of this type do not match. Toronto group uses techniques to modify the edge features.

At higher resolution, one can see clear casting pits. There is evidence that the obverse has been tooled to remove casting flaws. The devices and lettering are soft. This Toronto Group forgery was offered under the name "Oceans purity".

You can never condemn a coin just because it is perfectly centered on a larger than usual flan, but it is a reason to give it a close look.

On this coin the edge is much too sharp compared to the apparent wear on the rest of the coin.
