Galba - curious fantasy medallion84 viewsModern cast fantasy AE medallion of Galba; 18th century aftercast after earlier Paduan original
obv: IMP SER SVLP GALBA CAESAR AVG TR PP laur. bust, r.
rev: Christ arising from tomb, cross behind, the whole surrounded by numerous Christian elements including the head of Madonna and Infant Christ, handwashing, ladder, whip, hammer and pliers, and severd head of St John the Baptist.
The sides represent an odd juxtaposition, the obv resembling Paduan forgery types, the rev resembling Catholic religious medals; Galba is portrayed as especially wicked in appearance, although he is not traditionally associated by Christianity with persecutions of Christians.

Graeco-Italian Fantasy Coin55 viewsRoughly cast AE fantasy piece. Obverse design possibly very loosely based on a 3rd century BC type of Megaris (Napoli). 34mm. Tourist fake of Italian origin.commodus

Graeco-Roman Fantasy61 viewsModern (late 20th century) brass or other gold colored metal (possibly gold plated or gold filled) pressed fantasy "coin" manufactured for use in jewelry.
The "coin" is a hybrid of modern stylized versions of ancient designs. It is unclear which side is meant as the obverse and which the reverse, since the two types it imitates are both reverses, but one side loosely imitates a AR tetradrachm of Thasos, 2nd century BC, depicting Herakles standing, holding his club with right hand; legend in Greek: HPAKΛΕΟΥΣ ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ ΘΑΣΙΩΝ (misspelled OΛΣΙΩΝ).
The other side loosely imitates a AR denarius of the Roman Republic, specifically that of moneyer P. Maenius Antiaticus, 132 BC. Legend: P MAE ANT; ROMA in exergue. Victory driving fast quadriga, right
Holed for jewelry use; die axis places hole near 12 o'clock on both sides.
