Struck from modern dies. Purports to be a rare "Wappenmunze" didrachm of Athens. The obverse, however, is distinctly copied from a stater of Macedonia Neapolis (cf. Fig. 2) with its typical protruding tongue. On the Athens gorgoneia, the tip of the tongue never reaches beyond the chin (cf. Fig 3)
