The original was minted at Rome in 123 A.D. Perhaps this counterfeiter selected Aequitas intentionally as a statement or just an ironic joke. The Roman penalty for counterfeiting was death.

RIC II 80, SRCV II 3520, BMCRE III 154 and RSC II 1120 (official, Rome mint), F, illegal mint, weight 3.31g, maximum diameter 17.7mm, die axis 180o, 123 - c. 140 A.D.; obverse IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG, laureate and draped bust right; reverse P M TR P COS III, Aequitas standing left, scales in left hand, cornucopia in right hand; near full silver - previous seller did not ID as a fouree; SOLD
