It was destroyed in the 1st century B.C., and refounded by Pompey the Great as Pompeiopolis (not to be confused with the Pompeiopolis in Paphlagonia).

Silver stater, SNGvA 5866; BMC Lycaonia p. 147, 17, VF, grainy surfaces, Cilicia, Soli-Pompeiopolis (near Mersin, Turkey) mint, weight 9.345g, maximum diameter 19.4mm, die axis 45o, c. 390 - 375 B.C.; obverse head of Athena right in crested Athenian helmet; reverse ΣOΛI, bunch of grapes on stalk with tendrils, placed diagonally within square incuse; SOLD
