During his reign, large numbers of coins were issued in many varieties. The Le Emperors were considered just figureheads (puppets) for the ruling Trinh Lords, from 1573 - 1788 after the Trinh Lord, Trinh Kiem, defeated the Mac Dynasty leaders.
