They have been found in tombs in Syria dated to this period and are much less common even in areas as close as Palestine.

Anawati C273 (unbearded face) and Warschaw 470 (similar face other decorations differ); 11.6 cm (4 1/2"), Choice - Superb, buff terracotta with red slip, high-handle ornamented with high-relief bearded face or animal forepart facing, steep shoulders, ridge around discus and nozzle forming channel, pellet and circle design on shoulders, discus and trench; lovely; SOLD
