The Twenty-fifth Dynasty of Egypt, also known as the Nubian Dynasty, the Kushite Empire, the Black Pharaohs, or the Napatans, after their capital Napata, was the last dynasty of the Third Intermediate Period of Egypt that occurred after the Nubian invasion.
AS96334. carved steatite scarab, 12mm long, pierced longitudinally, Collectible condition, well defined back, wear, edge chips, 751 - 656 B.C.; obverse man squatting right holding ma'at; a larger ma'at before him, all within single line border; reverse squat modeled scarabaeus, wide ribbed head, notched clypeus, girdle line dividing thorax from elytra, diagonal lines from girdle to side, legs modeled on side; $250.00 (€235.00)

Broad_collar_necklaceThis is a very well made and most unusual bead with extremely rare faience colors produced in the Tel-el-Armarna period. It was originally part of a grand necklace of faience beads. Called a broad collar necklace, it was a more durable version of elaborate perishable floral collars that were worn by banquet guests. The Getty Museum lamp is slightly larger and a little finer style, but this lamp is very very similar and certainly worthy of any collection. See it here.

It was considered important to have at least one boat model in the tomb, often several, and the wealthiest were supplied with fleets. A fishing boat such as this would offer the owner a source of food and the ability to travel in the afterlife, most importantly the dead man would be able to make his pilgrimage to Abydos.

Shu, the son of Ra, was the God of the earth and supporter of the heavens. He becomes the Atlas of the Greeks and is identified with Thoth.

The Uzat was the eye of Horus. In the Osiris myth, Horus offered the healed eye to his dead father; so powerful was the charm that he was restored to life.
