Indeed, the fortune of the empire did improve under the leadership of Probus, but it was not a quite a time of peace and prosperity.

Billon antoninianus, apparently unpublished, RIC V-2 683C (R) var., Alföldi Siscia V 30/23-24 var., Hunter IV 289 var., Cohen VI 220 var., SRCV III 11973 var., VF, well centered, porosity/light corrosion, 3rd officina, Siscia (Sisak, Croatia) mint, weight 3.953g, maximum diameter 22.5mm, die axis 0o, c. 280 A.D.; obverse IMP C M PROBVS INVICT AVG, radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind; reverse FELICITAS AVG (the good fortune of the Emperor), Felicitas standing left, long caduceus vertical in right hand, cornucopia in left hand, Γ right, XXI in exergue; ex trustedcoins.com; this obverse legend and officina combination is apparently unpublished and we were unable to find another example of this extremely rare variant; SOLD
