Bronze AE 22, RPC IX 1071, SNG Pfälzer IV 126, BMC Lycia -, SNG Cop -, SNGvA -, aVF, porous, lathing circles on reverse, a little off center on a tight flan, Aspendos (Serik, Turkey) mint, weight 5.751g, maximum diameter 21.7mm, die axis 45o, c. Nov 251 - July/Aug 253 A.D.; obverse AY KE Γ OYIΔ OYEΛ OYOΛOYCCANON, laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind; reverse ACΠENΔIΩN, Apollo standing slightly left, head left, himation around hips and legs and over left shoulder, laurel branch downward in right hand, lyre in left hand resting on top of a serpent-entwined tripod (or column?) to right; Pfälzer IV 126 is the only other known specimen, our coin is nicer, meaning it is only the second known and the finest known!; extremely rare; SOLD
