Silver tetradrachm, Price 5, Müller Alexander 758, SNG Cop 659, SNG Munchen 234, SNG Alpha Bank 469, SNG Saroglos 185, HGC 3.1 910a, Choice gVF, well centered, attractive style, light toning, flow lines, a few small pits, Macedonia, Amphipolis mint, weight 17.047g, maximum diameter 25.5mm, die axis 315o, lifetime issue, c. 336 - 323 B.C.; obverse head of Herakles right, wearing Nemean Lion skin, scalp over head, forepaws tied at neck; reverse Zeus Aëtophoros seated left on throne without back, nude to the waist, himation around hips and legs, right leg forward (archaic lifetime style), eagle in extended right hand, long scepter vertical behind in left hand, aphlaston (stern ornament) on left, AΛEΞANΔPOY downward on right; from the CEB Collection; SOLD
