The type is believed to have been struck 618-619 [AH] / 1221, during the Mongol chase of Mangubarni to the Indus River, when a Mongol military base was established at or near Ghazna." Ghazni, historically known as Ghaznin or Ghazna, is a city in central Afghanistan for thousands of years strategically located along the main road between Kabul and Kandahar.
