Delmatius, Caesar, 18 September 335 - mid 337 A.D.
Delmatius was a favorite of his uncle Constantine, whom he resembled in character. He was elected consul in 333 and was made caesar two years afterward in 335.

Billon reduced centenionalis, RIC VII Aquileia 147 (R4), Paolucci-Zub 313 (R3), LRBC I 678, SRCV IV 16891, Cohen VII 4, VF, green patina, tight oval flan, parts of legends and mintmark weak, 2nd officina, Aquileia mint, weight 1.533g, maximum diameter 17.8mm, die axis 180o, 336 - mid 337 A.D.; obverse FL DELMATIVS NOB C, laureate draped and cuirassed bust right; reverse GLORIA EXERCITVS (glory of the army), two soldiers standing facing, flanking one standard in center, heads confronted, each holds a spear in outer hand and rests inner hand on grounded shield, •AQS in exergue; rare; $90.00
