The strong chin, however, better fits his mother, Antonia. Antonia had just been posthumously elevated to the role of Augusta by her son Claudius. Other coins naming Antonia Augusta show a similar veiled pose. The strong chin is a feature that she inherited from her lantern jawed father, Marc Antony. Livia, by comparison, was a classic beauty with a normal female chin.
