This is an engraver error with the wrong reverse legend for the type. The reverse legend is appropriate for a type depicting Boni Eventus, the god of good outcomes, worshiped by the Romans as a deity presiding over successful harvests. Instead the reverse depicts Spes, the goddess or personification of hope. Another error type exist with a BONA SPES reverse legend and a Fides reverse type.RS87244. Silver denarius, Apparently unpublished; RIC IV -, RSC III -, BMCRE V -, Hunter III -, SRCV II -, F, frosty surfaces, darker spots, Emesa (Homs, Syria) mint, weight 2.407g, maximum diameter 17.5mm, die axis 0o, 194 - 195 A.D.; obverse IMP CAE L SEP SEV PERT AVG COS II, laureate head right; reverse BONI EVENTVS, Spes (Hope) advancing left, raising flower in right hand, lifting drapery with left hand; extremely rare - only the 2nd example known to Forum; SOLD
