|Theodosius| |II|, |Theodosius| |II,| |10| |January| |402| |-| |28| |July| |450| |A.D.|, In June 403, the Visigoths, under command of King Alaric I, invaded Italy and advanced through the Brenner Pass. Stilicho, with an army of 30,000 men, defeated the Goths north of Verona. Alaric made a truce and withdrew east to Illyricum. Honorius and Stilicho were honored with a triumphal march for victories against the Goths and Vandals. This was the last triumph ever celebrated in Rome.
