Sasanian Empire, Peroz, 457 - 484 A.D.
The Huns defeated Peroz in 483. Following this victory, the Huns plundered parts of eastern Persia for two years bringing chaos to the kingdom. They exacted heavy tribute for some years thereafter. Peroz I tried again to drive out the Hephthalites, but on the way to Herat, he and his army were trapped by the Huns in the desert. Peroz I was killed, and his army was wiped out.WA67052.
