FVRI, quoted by Babelon (i, p. 523) from Riccio, are suspect, the legends having most probably been altered. Crawford identifies both S. FVRI and L. FVRI as modern forgeries (p. 549, note 47). We believe this coin is ancient, not a modern forgery.
