The mint mark in the exergue may be read TR for Treveri, OB for obryzium (refined gold), and the final T for tertia (3rd officina).

Gold solidus, RIC IX Trier 17(e)4, Choice EF, 3rd officina, Treveri (Trier, Germany) mint, weight 4.423g, maximum diameter 21.1mm, die axis 180o, obverse D N VALENS P F AVG, rosette-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right; reverse VICTORIA AVGG (victory of the two emperors), Valentinian and Valens, enthroned facing, together they hold globe, palm between them, Victory with spread wings facing above, TROBT in exergue; SOLD
