An ancient counterfeit with very attractive style remarkably similar to the official issue.SH26703. Fouree silver plated tetradrachm, cf. Price 3747 (official, Babylon mint), aEF, small areas of base core, unofficial mint, weight 16.177g, maximum diameter 27.6mm, die axis 270o, c. 300 B.C.; obverse head of Herakles right, wearing Nemean Lion skin, scalp over head, forepaws tied at neck; reverse BAΣIΛEΩΣ AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned left, eagle in extended right hand, long scepter vertical behind in left hand, right leg drawn back, monogram in wreath left, MI under throne; nice-style and high-relief obverse; SOLD
