Grynion, Aeolis, c. 350 - 306 B.C.
|Aeolis|, |Grynion,| |Aeolis,| |c.| |350| |-| |306| |B.C.|, Grynion was a small city mentioned from the 5th century B.C. onwards as a vassal of the Persians and as a member of the 1st Athenian League. The oracle of Apollo Gryneios at Gryneum was the religious and political center of the Aeolis. It belonged to the territory of Myrina in Hellenistic times. Its ruins, not yet fully explored, are near Aliaga, 15 km south of Yeni Sakran, Turkey, near the Aegean coast.
