Made from about 265 until the early fourth century (possibly sporadically into the fifth century), mainly in Britain and Gaul, the most common emperors copied were the Gallic usurpers Tetricus I and Tetricus II. Claudius II, Victorinus, and Postumus are not unusual. Gallienus, Quintillus, and Probus are rare, while Aurelian, Tacitus, and Numerian are very rare. Empresses are excessively rare. Radiates gave way to diademed-coin copies in the fourth century, but are found even in fifth century hoards." - from Moneta Historical Research by Tom Schroer
