Septimius Severus, Eastern IMP, Trophy and arms types

I have added a coin to my eastern Septimius Severus IMP types and thought it worth sharing the collection of them thus far.

There are two types of trophy and arms types for these Eastern IMP issues, the usual "Trophy with arms below" and the "Trophy with arms below, dejected captive seated beneath, shield on knees". These are all generally scarce to rare.

I will start with the IMP II issue:-

A few weeks on and I have managed to obtain another example for this thread..

Obv:– L SEPT SEV PERT AVG IMP VI-II, Laureate head right
Rev:– INVICT IMP, Trophy with arms below, dejected captive seated beneath
Minted in Laodicea ad Mare, A.D. 196 – 197

This coin has a slight variation in that there isn't a shield on the knees. Each of the coins with the captive type has a curved item in exe. a sword perhaps?

Nice acquisitions!

The O in the rev. legend of the second coin should be deleted, to judge from a specimen from the same dies in my collection which shows this rev. legend:

[IN]VICT - . - . IM[P], certainly without O after INVICT.

There is definitely a pellet or period, probably a space-filler, at 2 o'clock in the rev. legend, a little before IMP. The second dot above the trophy is rather low to belong to the legend, so may instead just be a crest or other decoration on the trophy's helmet.
