Thumbs up emoticon
« on: June 21, 2012, 08:11:46 am »
There's a fantastic range of symbols / emoticons on Forvm. I know contributors are dissuaded from replying in emoticon-only mode (big smileys), but sometimes I feel a need to signal my strong agreement with a posting, where the poster has said it all and I could never say it better. Replying "Yes", or "I agree", seems lame and doesn't express the sense of my agreement. "I wholeheartedly agree" is more like it, but adds a ton of long-winded words to a thread, when in fact I'd want others to read the original post and not mine. Some forums have "LIKE" buttons opposite individual posts, which has the effect I like, but would require a software change.

So, here's my appeal: let's have a "thumb's up" emoticon.

We can add a thumbs up but I think your image is too large for an emoticon in this program.
