Scanbox+

Hello All,

I just ordered a Scanbox Plus, a new product I discovered through Kickstarter.  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/limemouse/scanbox-turn-your-smartphone-into-a-portable-scann

I have been getting good results with my iPhone 4, but this product, has the potential to fix the problems of lighting and shaky hands.  I ordered the Scanbox+ plus which incorporates LED lights into the box.  Hopefully the lights are positioned in such a way that they minimize glare on the coins.

I actually bought it so I can scan documents quickly on the road and office, but am more excited about the possibility of using it to take pictures of coins.

I'll let you know how it works.

Cliff

PS:  Kickstarter is a pretty neat site where you can support entrepreneurs by agreeing to preorder their products, thereby giving them the startup capital they need.

FYI, this was no good for coin pics.  Skip it.

Sorry it took me so long to circle back on this.  I am going through my posts today looking for photos for my gallery
