Hello Friends,
Some of you may be aware of a website called
Coinproject.com. It is a very ambitious website, our goal is to eventually have a record of all coins from the earliest coins ever struck to modern, from every corner of the globe. Since the founders of the website are both specialists in
ancient coins, we started there first. We are now working on creating the
Medieval section of
Coinproject. You will see that much of it is already finished, but one
area where we are severely lacking is
Medieval French numismatics.
We are looking for a volunteer (or several) to
help us create the
French lists, from the end of the
Roman empire thru the unification of
France. Once the lists are created, all coins submitted must then be approved and verified by our experts (we already have over 100 volunteers), which requires researching individual coins to make sure all the information is correct.
Since I specialize in
ancient coins, I have no references for
French Medieval coins.
Thanks,
Tom Mullally
Co-founder and Asst. Director of
CoinProject
