As I understood it, the proposal is merely that the Coin Cabinet will lose its room for public exhibition.

I cannot believe that anyone proposes to actually dismiss the curators and send the collection into inaccessible storage, as some people here and in the German Forum seem to think!

The Coin Cabinet should be in a good position to have its interests represented, since the cabinet's Chief Curator, Michel Amandry, is now also Director of the entire French National Library.

You're right Curtis it's only the Museum which is in danger and not the Coin cabinet. But, M. Amandry is still the director oif and not of the whole Library. Mr B. Racine is in fact the director of the BnF.
