photoshop help
« on: June 15, 2008, 10:51:17 am »
I dont know where to put this post but,

Can someone tell me how they write on pix posted
you know the arrows,numbers,circles,etc.
I have photoshop and have spent hours trying to figure it out
but I haven't so far,
it looks airbrushed and free formed to write anything you want.
Thank You,
Any help would be appreciated

Just open the picture in Microsoft Paint (everybody has that), select a brush or pencil and start
drawing. For text there should be a feature also, so you don't have to write free-hand.
I don't have access to Photoshop here but it may be too professional ;) to allow that,
though I'm pretty sure you can insert text, too.

Thanks areich,
Great suggestion.
I never considered Paint.
It is way easier than Photoshop.

There is a "horizontal type tool" in the Photoshop toolbox (a big black "T").  Text and numbers can be warped in several ways using other techniques in Photoshop.

There is a "line tool" in the toolbox that allows you to put an arrowhead at the beginning or end of the drawn line.

Photoshop also has a shape tool that includes circles and rectangles. Use the "custom shape tool" and you can select arrows, and outlined circles and rectangles.  In my version of Photoshop, this tool is just under the type tool T, and you have to click and hold to see the different versions of the tool.
