Is there a way to search for possible thread topics?

Me again Jim.  ;D

Click on the "search" button in the headings and type in the topic or whatever you are looking for.
Furthermore, if you go into your profile (Just click on your name) then click on "Look and layout preferences" and tick the box marked "Show child boards on every page inside boards, not just the first" you will have all the navigation buttons, including search, always available at the top of whatever page you are viewing.

Alex.
