Yelizaveta Petrovna (Elizabeth) AR Rouble
« on: April 08, 2021, 08:24:22 am »

Dear Board,

AR  41mm    27.10g.

The closest example to this is as follows:(except for the date and the mintmaster mark):     https://www.acsearch.info/search.html?id=433384

There are three questions I was wondering about.

The first is the mintmaster mark? The common signature is by Ivan Markov, but the example I have is with the letters M and B. In this case, does anyone know the name represented by these letters?

Second question, are there any references for this coin?

The last question is, which one has the higher condition compared to the nearest triton sample?

Thank you in advance for your help and time.

Mint master M B = Michail Bobrovstsjikov (1754 - 1757)

I think it's Bitkin 133. You can compare your coin here:

I am not a specialist on these coins, but there are so many counterfeits that a copy in this condition is always suspect.
