Here's a pretty laughably fake Annia Faustina denarius currently listed at auction. Obviously don't go looking to purchase it - lol.

At least the legends are spelled correctly.

For those unfamiliar, there are 6 known examples of annia faustina denarii, all struck from the same dies.  A good search will pull up the detail on each of them if anyone is curious.  The Paris and Madrid public collections are the only ones readily accessible to collectors to examine in person.

Makes me wonder why anyone would try to fake such a rare and obscure denarius, and not even try to match the known die set.  All very odd.

That is recognizably the product of a crude Serbian faker who has done a wide variety of grotesque Greek and Roman counterfeits.
