Galerius Consvl PP Procsonvl "argenteus"

Just saw this interesting concoction on eBay ... seems a considerable amount of effort went into making it!

The type has to be fake, but the flan looks pretty plausible, and the weight's about right for an argenteus at 3.16g.

The obverse seems to be in good style, probably copied from a a genuine coin. Style seems to be Nicomedia.

The reverse must be modern, an adaption of an Antioch aureus type issued for Maximianus (vs Galerius CAES here), but with the Z moved from exergue to field !

This coin is formally an unlisted type, so I will take it. Of course - as forgery.
